Kimberly Aleah

Director, Writer

Kimberly Aleah is an alumna of Barnard College of Columbia University where she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies. She currently resides in New York City, working on Rolling Stone's Video team and is also the Creative Director and Founder of Human Error, a film distribution studio that focuses on connecting young artists of color. Her directorial debut, Woke, received international official selection status and 11 awards across the festival circuit. Kimberly’s work highlights intersectional narratives, focusing on the experiences of women of color.

Ronnie Braithwaite

Producer, Writer

Ronnie Braithwaite graduated Cum Laude in Spring 2017 from the University of Miami with a Bachelors in Business Administration, studying marketing and motion pictures. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Ronnie wrote and produced the eleven-time award winning film, "Woke," and currently works to advance Seed&Spark's Equity & Inclusion programs. As a Spring 2020 MBA graduate from Clark Atlanta University, he is motivated by advancing workplace culture initiatives in the B2B SAAS (software as a service) industry. As an independent filmmaker, he is committed to creating narratives that inspire personal growth for black communities through projects like his original docuseries, DearDuBois and Post-Lovett Black.

David Liz Films

Cinematography & Sound

David Liz is an award winning filmmaker based out of Miami,FL.  He's been working as a Director and Producer since 2005, but has been involved in film production since 2008. In that short time he has had his films and videos screened in film festivals all around the world including: The Director's Guild of America (DGA), Monaco International Film Festival (Angel Awards), Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) , New York International Film Festival (NYIFF), and many more. With a focus on Writing, Directing, and cinematography; David Liz's immersive style has won him numerous accolades most notably a DGA award for Best Latino film. His goal is to produce/create films that reach audiences world-wide and deliver a message; in hopes of inspiring, moving, and thrilling viewers all around the globe.

Avery Schwartz


Avery recently graduated from University of Miami's Frost School of Music with degrees in Music Engineering and Creative American Music. As a student, he ran an independent recording studio called Bel-Air Studio and produced local artists and students in the contemporary music program. Avery is an ASCAP songwriter and had his song "Our Time" placed in Relativity's 2014 feature Earth To Echo. Avery has worked for Warner Brothers and Seismic Productions and played an active role in choosing music cues for major theatrical trailer campaigns.



Chance Brown-King

Don-Dimitri Joseph

Born in Harrisburg, PA, Chance first began acting at a young age in small community plays and workshops. In high school, Chance enrolled in the Capital Area School for the Arts (CASA), until graduating. After high school, Chance enrolled in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York. Since then, he has starred in web series, multiple short films, has performed original plays in NYC. And is in production of a new series revolving around California Police Officers.

Roe Dunkley

American actor Don-Dimitri has been featured in numerous stage productions, television commercials, and films. Earning his B.A. in Business Administration from Florida International University, Don is currently training at The Actors Workshop of South Florida and Villain Theatre to better his craft.

Kerby Collins

Roe Dunkley is a new age actor with an old soul. Equipped with a background in dance and oratory, he discovered his passion for acting in 2012 with 1st Million Management. Master of his fate, Roe possesses a tremendous ability to influence his audience through the arts. He has been recently featured in BET’s Tales & TV One’s Fatal Attraction.

Jordan Kiser

Harry Pearce

Acting since 2010, Kerby Collins studies film at Broward College. Catch him in "TOYED," "LET GO," "CROOKED," and "Dreamgirls: The Musical." Kerby graduated in the fall of 2017 with an Associates in Science.

Actor and musician from Baltimore MD, Jordan has been acting since the age of 10 and is currently pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Miami. We are thrilled to announce Jordan will be moving his talents from the stage to the screen in Woke the Film.

An improvisational actor from Milton, Massachusetts, Harry has appeared in the movie Spring Breakers and the HBO series, Ballers.
